Vitality Wellness hosted us and our clients for a Men’s Wellness Breakfast session on the 4th of June 2024. The conversations focused on prostate issues and mental health.

According to the World Health Organisation studies, suicide rates are higher among men compared to women. An individual suffering with depression is twenty times more likely to die by suicide than someone without the disorder according to the International Association for Suicide Prevention.
Men generally don’t talk enough about Mental Health issues. Culturally its long been associated with weakness to open up and talk though things are gradually changing. For male executives, its often said that “it is lonely at the top.” Making it even more difficult to have such conversations. However, we believe that as more businesses embed wellness as part of their staff welfare focus, they can assist in ensuring that men have the difficult conversations and get the necessary help.
