The terms and conditions of our brokerage service are governed by the Insurance Act Chapter 24:07(and as amended) and its regulations.
Whereby,

Firstlink Insurance Brokers (FIB or the Broker) is a limited liability company duly registered under the Companies and Other Business Entities Act [Chapter 24:31] of Zimbabwe carrying on the business of providing insurance brokering services.

FIB is duly registered as an insurance broker with the Commissioner of Insurance and Provident Funds, having fulfilled all the requirements under the Insurance Act.

Firstlink Insurance Brokers’ Obligations:

FIB recognises that its clients require our expertise in the provision of Insurance broking services. Accordingly, we pledge to assist all our clients as follows:

1. To meet the client and appreciate their insurance and risk mitigation needs;
2. Procure such insurance cover or alternative solutions for the client and to provide a comprehensive insurance register containing details of each and such insurance policy arrangements on behalf of the client;
3. Advise the client on insurance policies assigned to the broker by the client from time to time;
4. Use our best knowledge and efforts to identify and evaluate the financial health of the risk carriers and partners and advise the insured client on such carriers/partners claims-paying ability in a fair and prompt manner;
5. Cause the issuance of all the necessary Insurance policies and documentation by the insurer(s) which we will analyse and dispatch to our client promptly.
6. Negotiate and facilitate the settlement of legitimate claims on a timely basis;
7. Advice the Client on risk improvement aimed at minimising losses and speedy recovery after any losses;
8. Keep the client informed of any material changes and trends in the insurance space;
9. Periodically furnish the client with all statistics in respect of all claims statistics(paid and outstanding claims);
10. Provide any other new insurance covers as per client’s need on an on-going basis; and to
11. Collect and remit all premiums received from the insured to the insurers in line with the provisions of Insurance Act,
    regulations, directives or guidelines issued by IPEC

The Firstlink Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) policy ensures that we give you the best probable advice in structuring your portfolio and in all issues of service including claims. However, should you as a client believe that you would have experienced unfair treatment, our TCF and Clients Complaints procedure provides recourse in such circumstances with internal escalation processes and possible appeal to IPEC if unresolved to your satisfaction.
